Yesterday accompanied S for the SIA Air Stewardess Interview at Suntec.
It has been her dream to be in that uniform, while for me, obviously just went for fun.
I was in my pink dress with black slippers.
When we reached the hall at around 1.30pm, there were about hundred over people waiting.
Seriously I don't understand why people like this job so much.
It is just waiter and waitress, flying and serving in the air.
Have they not heard of the dark side about SIA, about being part of the cabin crew?
Well, I didn't complain much, but joined the queue as soon as possible.
Then the staff divided us into groups.
Our group number is 124.
It means, there were about 1000 over people before us?
Oh my tien, this is crazy!
Well, we were then brought into this room, watching some related videos.
Then not long later, we were asked to sit outside an interviewing room.
When our number was called, the girls sashayed into the room, hoping to catch the two interviewers' attention.
For me, what can I do with my pair of slippers?
In the room, we were asked to do the interview-never-do-without: self-introduction.
And also, we were to share one interesting fact that others might not know!
I was the third and the two guys (the only two guys) before me didn't really do well.
So when it was my turn, I said normally and told them that I came just to accompany my friend and I didn't really dream to be in this line.
They knew that I was in NTU, still schooling.
After the interview, S told me that I shouldn't have told them that as they will never consider me.
Well, regretted a little however I guess it was OK?
I went for fun only, that's the fact!
Then when the result was out, I was the first name to be called.
Rather surprised actually especially after what the experienced S had told me.
Then I felt sorry and guilty for S, it has been her dream.
I accompanied her, in the end I got in but she's out!
And now, she has to give it up.
She said she will not try again, but wants to settle down already.
One thing happened and that was quite embarrassing, I was asked to reach out to this red line sticked onto the wall, to confirm my height.
I was brought to the height measuring area, it was 1.6m.
Those 1.6m and below needed that I guess.
So in my group, 4 out of 12 were selected.
V and I were asked to do that while D and the other girl obviously tall enough to skip that step.
It was rather du lian, and for once, I hope to have grown 5cm taller.
Then next I went for other interviews and though the judges know that I will only graduate in 2013 but they still chose me.
It was only towards the end then the lady asked:"Oh you are still schooling? So if we sign contract with you will you give up your studies?"
Obviously my answer is a firm NO!
Then the lady advised me to withdraw now and try again after i graduate 2 years later.
She told me not to waste my time trying because the company will not consider any part timer.
LOLX.
Then I took my leave and waited for boyfriend then went to shop for one whole afternoon!
Bought so many things I like!

How often should you clean your brushes?
Our skin deserves the best. So we should pick up a good habit than suffer from eye infections or skin breakouts. It is recommended by Bobz to clean them at night so by the time we wake up, they’re fresh and ready to be used again. PS. At least clean your (most often used) brushes once a week.
Brand new brushes will still need to be cleaned beforehand too. Why? Because during production, they collect dust, dirt, debris and bacteria.
Material
Any baby shampoo to clean the makeup brushes. It removes ALL the makeup, dirt and oil from the brushes (even waterproof) effectively. While it is strong enough to kill germs/bacteria, it won't dry out the hair bristles.
Demo
First, soak the brush bristles with a little warm water. Remember, the temperature of the water has to be 40 degrees only to kill germs.
Next, pour a little baby shampoo into a little dish. Remember, you don’t have to use a dish, you can just use the palm of your hand instead. Dipping the brush into the baby shampoo, then tap and swirl the makeup brush to remove the residue from the bristles. Don't be vigorous, be gentle. The bristles will foam up into a murky colour.
You can fill up a dish of water and tap your brush in to rinse off the dirt. Then repeat this process about 2-3 times until the water is completely clear. Next, flick the brush forward a few times to shake off excess water. Note, never squeeze the bristles dry because it can misshapen the brush.
Drying the brushes
This little trick is taken from Beauty Blogger BeautyQQ. Basically take a little towel and roll one end inwards so it forms a ‘roll’. Now you can lay your brushes on the towel but make sure the brush ends are rested on the ‘roll’. This allows the brushes to dry at an angle helping the brush to remove excess water. For dual end brushes, simply lay them flat on a towel.
In a hurry?
There are a lot of brush cleansers in the market. They’re handy for makeup artists because they can disinfectant and clean brushes instantly. Some brush cleansers can also 'dry out' the hair bristles. If you’re really in a hurry and you just don’t have the time to clean your brushes before application, you can use a makeup cleanser or even wipe them clean with a makeup wipe.

A friend of mine has accidentally transferred $80 into my account so I have to transfer back to him.
It was only then I realized that boyfriend had transferred money to me again!
He used to transfer $1k before but I rejected.
And last month we went for an event job, earned $840, he gave me also but I rejected again.
Then this round he transferred $800 to me again, for weeks already but I didn't know because I don't check my statement frequently.
He didn't mention anything to me either.
Haix, silly boy!
Well, of course as usual, I had the money transferred back to him, I don't like to take his money.

Didn't notice this romantic date till I saw Jing's FB status.
Kinda sad, cause I didn't even think of spending it with darling!!!

Sometimes I really don't know when can I joke and when not to?
My friends and I were doing project in school today and before we left, one of them tried to push back the table.
However, as he didn't notice that my laptop was on the table so in the end the laptop dropped onto the floor as the table was pulled sideways.
Of course I didn't blame the friend who did that.
So I joked and said if not for friend B who put my laptop on the table, it wouldn't have dropped.
I am not sure if I sounded serious or friend B just took it so seriously that he actually said he was not to be blamed.
And still said I can just delete the part of the project that he did.
I told him I didn't blame him, and that I was joking only.
But he sounded serious, thought not angry.
I felt so sad suddenly, because I am not blaming him.
I felt like being accused, then I just teared in e car, not speaking much.
Actually, even if the laptop spoils, I doubt I will even tell them, so that they won't feel guilty.
But why did he take it as that I am blaming him?
I am NOT, seriously.
Perhaps, I shall learn not to joke with them the next round.
