Facial @ Jeanyip
7/30/2011 11:45:00 PM

My sis bought 4 facial vouchers at Jean Yip, expiry date is this July 31st.
I thought of going with two sisters and mummy but mummy and second sister don't want to.
So big sis suggested that we each ask a friend and go together.
The first person I thought of was Dardar and then Jing.
Dar doesn't want so I asked Jing but she was in Malaysia so can't either.
So I asked few others, however only Meijin can make it.
So since her birthday just over, so I treat it as a birthday present for her, plus a lunch or dinner.

We reached City Square Mall at 5pm just now and filled in the form as usual.
Then we were brought to two different rooms for facial.
It was quite a good experience, and the best thing was, after the facial, the person didn't show us any facial package at all.
I was shocked! It was the FIRST time after so many facial experiences with others.
After that then came back to join my family for dinner at Chongpang.

Highly recommended : Jean Yip @ City Square Mall (Original price $374)...

Outings
7/27/2011 11:34:00 PM

It was Peiqi's birthday party on Saturday. Hong asked Yang and I to meet him at Yishun at 5.30pm to take bus 39 to Pasir Ris. However, given Hong's pattern, I knew he will be late. So I told myself the new meeting time: 6pm. At around 3plus, Tady texted me saying that she's sick so can't go. Then I also felt very lazy, especially because it was mega far from where I stay. Furthermore, having the new haircut require additional time to blow/strighten after my shower. In the end, I met Hong and Yang at 7pm at Northpoint and waited for Huilong until about 745pm.

When I first appeared in front of Hong and Yang, they both broke into laughters, for that, Yang owe me one more koi! Then Hong said:"OMG why you cut it short? Your mei li zhi shu drops to half already! SO not feminine now!" I was quite surprised that I didn't feel sad at all, perhaps because I was satisfied with my current hairstyle. When Huilong came, I asked him how was it too. He shook his head but didn't say something awful. So from there I know that he finds it okay, just that given his character he won't praise me! Hahahaha.

When we reached the Pasir Ris chalet carpark, there was some road blocks and some illegal parkings that caused us to stuck at the road side for at least 15 minutes. I then called Peiqi to inform her the delay. It was around 8.30pm. Peiqi said she will wait for us to cut the cake as her relatives were finding parking slots as well. So after everything, we got to the chalet, M05, at 9pm. Then we had a bit of the catered food and mingled around with the Riverside friends. Photos were taken as usual. Almost all in the chalet said that mine was a good haircut. They said it is nicer, and I look younger and cuter!
Thank you for the kind comments friends!

On Monday, we went to Ippudo for AJC class outing. There was a total of 9 people who came. Much appreciated for that! We had fun catching up with one another, not forgetting a little bit of gossipping. Then the guys were asking us girls about university life and stuffs. So we spent the night sharing stories and experiences with them. After the Ramen dinner, half of us headed to cold stone for ice cream! it was yummy, but mine was too sweet though.

Yesterday, Tuesday, I met Wangwang for lunch at Northpoint, then we chanced upon this buffet at Ishi Mura, Shabu Shabu. it's only $12.90 sharp for students/senior citizens. I went there to eat ala carte for so many times already but didn't know about the steamboat buffet! Then the excited two quickly paid and then sat at the table, preparing for our steamboat. It was around 2.30pm. Then we chit chatted alot and left the place at 5pm. Honestly, there was nothing much to choose from, but given that it's only $13, that's cheap enough! We kept saying that we should introduce other friends there, next time can go there to study while eating steamboat. 12-5pm, for lunch.

Today, Wednesday, Hong, Yang and I met at Royal Plaza's Carousel for the High Tea Buffet. Before I met them, I rushed to budget terminal to send my uni friends off, they are going Taiwan for 1 week holiday. I was alone but I still went because I always have the guilt towards them. I reached at 2.15pm and waited for them to check in their luggage. I know I have to leave at 2.30pm to be able to reach the buffet at 3.30 so as not to waste Yang's money. The buffet lasts from 3.30-5.30pm. But when they are done, it was about 2.30pm. So we went to mac, they ordered food and then took some photos before I left at 2.45pm. At Changi MRT, I met this Korean businessman who asked me for direction to City Hall. I told him that he could go with me as I was going orchard, via city hall. Then We chatted a little bit along the way. I tried to squeeze my very very limited Korean along the way, but I remembered none. Utterly disappointed with myself. Before City Hall station, he asked if it is okay for me to meet him that day for coffee, I rejected politely. Then he asked for my email and he gave me his too. He said perhaps we can meet up for coffee during weekends. I told him I will see first, and if I go I will ask a friend who speaks Korean. He was fine with that. I guess it's alright, since he's in a father's age. So shouldn't be a big problem? Furthermore, this is my country, I won't be at risk.

When I reached Carousel, it was about 4.15pm. Yang and Hong looked as if they were full. Then i took some food and started taking photos till 4.45pm then back to eating mode. There was a wide range of food to choose, the ambient was as good as that in Vienna. However, for seafood lovers, it is recommended to go for their lunch/dinner buffet. You will get to eat crabs, lobsters etc. For me, I ate alot too, suddenly the diameter of my tummy increased a couple of inches! Though I ate so much, it was confirm not enough to cover what Yang paid for: one pax $33 after UOB/DBS discount card. I have told him that I don't want to claim such an expensive buffet, but he insisted. Luckily we went for High Tea Buffet not lunch. But I felt guilty still. Thank you Yang!

After the feast, we took a train to Bugis and walked along the street. I bought one school bag and one pair of shoes. Both at a damn cheap price - $10 each! Cheaper than what I bought in Hong Kong! Girls, next time shopping can just go to Bugis Street, no need to travel overseas. LOLX. After walking for a while, I craved for koi and went to illuma to get it. Then we sat on the wooden floor, chatted and took some not-so-nice photos using my ipad. A splendid night spent with two of them (:

To my dearest girlfriend
7/23/2011 04:55:00 PM

She is my best girlfriend, we confide in each other very often since upper secondary.
I think she is the only friend who has seen my first official boyfriend, through picture.
Of course she told me many of her secrets too, of those, some are actually so personal that if I were her, I might not have the courage to tell others.
We like to criticize each other, but deep in our hearts, we know we love each other!
Also, recently I have just learnt how to track people who viewed my blog.
Guess what? She is my top fan, with the highest view rate.
Thank you girl!

Whenever she went for holiday, no matter how near the country is, she would buy me small gifts.
Sometimes, she will just buy for me only, not even for our friends.
That is the reason why she is always the first person on my mind whenever I go overseas.
Remember there was this time when her brother went to China for attachment, he bought her a panda toy.
When she showed me, I joked that she should take one for me too.
And that night, she texted me saying that she got me one, but of different colour.
I was rather touched, though I am not really fancy about panda, but it is really the thought that makes me treasure the toy so much.
Sometimes I do complain to friends about her, saying things about her (of course not speaking ill of her, just purely complaining).
But when other friends saying BAD things about her, I will get so angry and scold them.
Perhaps they will think that I am so hypocrite, I say things about her yet don't allow others to do so.
Yes I know I am very unreasonable, but that's me, you can't do anything!

One random night, she called me at midnight 2plus, crying and complaining about the guy.
I know she was hurt deeply, I couldn't help much and wanted to cab to her house to keep her accompanied.
But it was our exam period that time so she stopped me from doing so.
Now she has been more matured in handling relationship stuffs, but get scoldings from me still.
I just don't want her to get cheated again and again.
Or perhaps those are not scoldings, but nagging, just for her own good.
Perhaps because of that, now she tells me lesser secrets already :(

Just now, I was reading her blog, and came across this:

I also don't know why. I only want to hang out with the few close friends of mine but they are always not free. lol. So that leaves me with no choice but to be alone.

Suddenly I felt so guilty, so sad that I am always not free for her.
That is why I felt the urge to write this post before I go prepare for a friend's 21st Party later.
I just want to let this friend know that though I am busy, I didn't forget about her like what she thinks.
Sorry dear, I will sure make time for you next week, we can go for dinner and chit chat again like before.
Promise, okay?

Okay, I am running late, it's 5pm now, I have only 30 minutes to prepare. Oh My Tien!
Write a better one next time (:

New hairstyle - Bob
7/22/2011 07:09:00 PM

On Monday, My BF and I went to Tampines, and we saw one salon offering haircut at only $10 and the queue was really long. It comprises of costumers of different ages and genders. I then told my boyfriend to give it a try since the salon looks rather clean, hence the result shouldn't be too bad. He tried, but asked me not to risk it, he said he has money to pay for me! Hahaha. I took his advice, didn't have hair cut there but instead, at Monsoon Twister. It costs about $30 for cut + wash + blow. I guess it was still alright after I cut my hip-length hair to neck-length bob.  Luckily the result didn't disappoint me much.

Nevertheless, I looked different, absolutely.

Then for the rest of the time after my haircut that evening, my BF kept calling me xiao wan zi, and SMS addressing me as little ball. For those who don't know who she is, her English name is Chibi Maruko Chan, the famous Japanese cartoon girl. She looks like this:

Okay, this is my new hair style right after cutting:

It looked nice for just one day. The very next day my hair started to curl at the ends and my mum nagged at me for cutting it. She likes me with long hair, and kept saying why I cut it without telling her. Worst of all, she said I look auntie! Then my siblings commented that it looks horrible. During our dinner, they still said that our family has a free mushroom, if needed, can be used for dinner! HAHHAA. On Tuesday, I met up with my friends for durian, they said they prefer my long hair! Then my tutee said so as well. Though comments were not really good, but I am still okay with my new hairstyle. Went out seeing other girls with long hair I didn't feel envy AT ALL. Wednesday, I went to get many hair care products, so that my bob will not look dry and stiff. I also bought one hair dye - BLONDE colour. I am deciding whether to go salon or DIM (Do It Myself) at home. Was thinking if going salon will dye blonde, if DIM will dye brown using the blonde dye. On Thhursday night, Jing sms-ed me asking me if I want to go for photo shoot today (Friday) at Dhoby Ghaut area, from 8am-11am. Her cousin/uncle will be the photographer. I really feel like going but it's too early. So yesterday at 10plus, I quickly dyed my hair using the dye I bought because salons were all closed. I used about 3/4 of the dye and gave BF the other 1/4 because he didn't want to be too obvious. In the end as expected, my hair turned brown instead of blonde, but that's the exact result I wanted. Blonde is just too loud for me, I wouldn't dare to try. Then my family said it looks slightly better. And they added, it will be better if I go rebond my hair. But just dyed my hair, I will not rebond it, at least for these three months.

This morning (Friday) I didn't manage to wake up at 6.30am but instead at 9plus. I felt so sad because I really want to take some shoots. Wanted to call Jing but scared she might be busy, so texted her to apologise. She was having lunch then, going for second round after that I think. So good for her to have a cousin and a uncle who can help her take model shoots. Hahaa. Okay, got to go get some ingredients with my family, having steamboat at home later!

New Blogskin
7/18/2011 01:09:00 AM

Finally changed to this new blogskin. I love the sweetness of it but of course I am also very proud this time round, as I have edited most of alignment for this. Praises please.

This afternoon I was felling damn bored, so I tweeted and Yang said he don't mind coming to Northpoint. So I asked him to meet me at 8pm then accompany me go for haircut at Jeanyip. However, I was late course I was proudly designing my blogskin and missed his reply in Twitter. Then I reached Yishun MRT at around 8.45pm, 30 minutes late. We then walked to Northpoint, but the salons were all closed. So as promised, we went to SHARETEA to buy bubble tea. It costs about the same price as Koi and Gong Cha but obviously not as nice. Then with the drinks on hand, we walked to BLK 900+ for the famous Laksa(Of course I don't like, but I was craving for the BBQ wings). Then sadly, when we reached there, all the stalls were closed! No choice but had to return back to Northpoint with an empty stomach.

It was around 10pm, so we didn't intend to go to Chongpang to eat satay, instead we bought crispy chicken from Dong Dae Mun. Yang said those were the leftover ones and complained that I treated him leftover food and not satay as promised. Well its not my fault, who ask the stalls to close so early. Haha. After that we walked to the park nearby MRT station and chatted about life. Then I told him about the story between the-never-talk guy and I. We also shared a few opinions on other friends' issues. Realized sometimes when I was really busy and had no time for friends, they will not get back to me after I am free. SAD.

Just when we were talking endlessly, I realized it was 10 minutes to midnight. Then I quickly asked Yang to catch the last train. But he sent me home before doing that. Then he said he got to cab home, and will claim the cab fare from me! Hahaha. Can I just sponsor half of it?

Hope you are home nnow, via MRT! LOLZ.
Anyway thank you, you are just so nice!

Okay, I am sleepy now, goodnight friends!

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2
7/14/2011 11:18:00 PM

Thanks to sis, we got two Harry Potter's tickets at Marina Square.
Went with boyfriend after dinner just now.
I am not a crazy fan of HP, but I think its still not too bad, but somehow a bit draggy in the middle part.
Hermione (Emma Watson) is so pretty now, but Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) looks more like White Indian.
And he looks like Hong also.
They all look like real parents when they have kids at the end of the movie.
The author, J.K. Rowling is really a great author, she links the story up so well.
HAHA.

SIWW July 2011
7/10/2011 06:32:00 PM

Few months back, I was shortlisted as the Student Ambassador for the annual Singapore International Water Week, SIWW.
I was actually thinking of rejecting firstly but in the end forgot about it.
When I was in Hong Kong, I received Jeanmay's email, asking if I am free to help in PUB a week before SIWW.
Thus, after I am back from HK, I joined PUB for a week.
I was there, together with Jessica and Valerie, helping them with some admin stuffs and SIWW related things.
It was really fun, especially the times I spent with Karen and Jess!
We love 38-ing, they are both so cute!! LOVES.

Then, my job as a student liaison officer (LO) starts on Sunday, 03/07/2011.
I was supposed to pick up my Canadian delegate Mr Marvin DeVries from the airport at 11.56pm.
But he emailed me at 3pm on Sunday, informing that he would be arriving early at 7pm instead.
Then I quickly changed the transport and everything.
I was almost late on that day, the very first time going airport to fetch someone ALONE.
And I was holding the placard, in business wear.

First day of SIWW:

Below is the photo taken with Mr Marv at the Networking Lunch.
He is a nice and humorous guy.
Being his LO, I take care of his schedule related to SIWW.
He is someone who is chatty and needs not to eat much.
Hahaha, he still said that he would complain to his wife that I didn't give him anything to eat but sweets!

Kudos to Mas and Maurice, I joined the Lee Kuan Yew Dinner together with two LOs.
It was rather pity that all my friends' delegates were not invited to this dinner so they had all gone home.
Otherwise I would bring any two of them in!!

The next day, Wednesday, 6th July, we visited NTU's pilot plant.
This is the group photo (:

SIWW 2011 is fun because of you guys (: LOVE.

Mr Marv is the speaker for American Business Forum, thus we were requested to take a few photos.
Formal and candid shoots.

Mr Marv was worrying about not being able to catch his flight on time while waiting for his turn to speak at the forum.

Thanks to Shanker's help in swapping the last two speakers' slot, Mr Marv was ten minute earlier.

We took an instant photo using my sis's Polaroid Camera.

We took two, one for him, one for me (:

Rushed off to the airport, after sending Mr Marv off, Jess and others asked me to go back to MBS for the closing dinner.
I was still considering then CT asked if I am going, then I decided to go.
Glad I went as the dinner was a fantastic one!
We had buffet and alcoholic drinks by the bay.
Delicious food accompanied by cooling sea breeze, scenic music fountain and friends!
Then at 8pm, Mas got us tickets to Art Science Museum and Skypark.
Val chose the formal while Jess and I chose the later.
I wanted to get one for CT, but Mas didn't even want to give to Karen so I didn't dare to ask also.
As the PUB staffs are not allowed to join, the three of us left without them.

However, after a while at the skypark, we were delighted to see all the PUB staffs there too!
Think they had some tickets left over.
Had a few photos on the rooftop with them.
It was really fun!

Before going up to Skypark, we took a few photos at the booth at Event Plaza.
We were really crazy! Took so many photos yet made lots of noise there.

Then I cabbed home with Karen and Jess at around 11pm.
Sorry to make Yinling wait for us for so long.
I also felt guilty towards Cheah Tien as he waited for me till late.
It was very crowded there, and I lost sight of him.
After calling him, I know that he was with Rachel so I thought he was enjoying himself there also.

Thus I didn't call him again.

Then he waited for me yet in the end I didn't go home with him cuz I put my stuffs in Yinling's car so got to wait for her to finish her stuffs first.

SORRY CT!
