Outings
7/27/2011 11:34:00 PM
It was Peiqi's birthday party on Saturday. Hong asked Yang and I to meet him at Yishun at 5.30pm to take bus 39 to Pasir Ris. However, given Hong's pattern, I knew he will be late. So I told myself the new meeting time: 6pm. At around 3plus, Tady texted me saying that she's sick so can't go. Then I also felt very lazy, especially because it was mega far from where I stay. Furthermore, having the new haircut require additional time to blow/strighten after my shower. In the end, I met Hong and Yang at 7pm at Northpoint and waited for Huilong until about 745pm.
When I first appeared in front of Hong and Yang, they both broke into laughters, for that, Yang owe me one more koi! Then Hong said:"OMG why you cut it short? Your mei li zhi shu drops to half already! SO not feminine now!" I was quite surprised that I didn't feel sad at all, perhaps because I was satisfied with my current hairstyle. When Huilong came, I asked him how was it too. He shook his head but didn't say something awful. So from there I know that he finds it okay, just that given his character he won't praise me! Hahahaha.
When we reached the Pasir Ris chalet carpark, there was some road blocks and some illegal parkings that caused us to stuck at the road side for at least 15 minutes. I then called Peiqi to inform her the delay. It was around 8.30pm. Peiqi said she will wait for us to cut the cake as her relatives were finding parking slots as well. So after everything, we got to the chalet, M05, at 9pm. Then we had a bit of the catered food and mingled around with the Riverside friends. Photos were taken as usual. Almost all in the chalet said that mine was a good haircut. They said it is nicer, and I look younger and cuter!
Thank you for the kind comments friends!
On Monday, we went to Ippudo for AJC class outing. There was a total of 9 people who came. Much appreciated for that! We had fun catching up with one another, not forgetting a little bit of gossipping. Then the guys were asking us girls about university life and stuffs. So we spent the night sharing stories and experiences with them. After the Ramen dinner, half of us headed to cold stone for ice cream! it was yummy, but mine was too sweet though.
Yesterday, Tuesday, I met Wangwang for lunch at Northpoint, then we chanced upon this buffet at Ishi Mura, Shabu Shabu. it's only $12.90 sharp for students/senior citizens. I went there to eat ala carte for so many times already but didn't know about the steamboat buffet! Then the excited two quickly paid and then sat at the table, preparing for our steamboat. It was around 2.30pm. Then we chit chatted alot and left the place at 5pm. Honestly, there was nothing much to choose from, but given that it's only $13, that's cheap enough! We kept saying that we should introduce other friends there, next time can go there to study while eating steamboat. 12-5pm, for lunch.
Today, Wednesday, Hong, Yang and I met at Royal Plaza's Carousel for the High Tea Buffet. Before I met them, I rushed to budget terminal to send my uni friends off, they are going Taiwan for 1 week holiday. I was alone but I still went because I always have the guilt towards them. I reached at 2.15pm and waited for them to check in their luggage. I know I have to leave at 2.30pm to be able to reach the buffet at 3.30 so as not to waste Yang's money. The buffet lasts from 3.30-5.30pm. But when they are done, it was about 2.30pm. So we went to mac, they ordered food and then took some photos before I left at 2.45pm. At Changi MRT, I met this Korean businessman who asked me for direction to City Hall. I told him that he could go with me as I was going orchard, via city hall. Then We chatted a little bit along the way. I tried to squeeze my very very limited Korean along the way, but I remembered none. Utterly disappointed with myself. Before City Hall station, he asked if it is okay for me to meet him that day for coffee, I rejected politely. Then he asked for my email and he gave me his too. He said perhaps we can meet up for coffee during weekends. I told him I will see first, and if I go I will ask a friend who speaks Korean. He was fine with that. I guess it's alright, since he's in a father's age. So shouldn't be a big problem? Furthermore, this is my country, I won't be at risk.
When I reached Carousel, it was about 4.15pm. Yang and Hong looked as if they were full. Then i took some food and started taking photos till 4.45pm then back to eating mode. There was a wide range of food to choose, the ambient was as good as that in Vienna. However, for seafood lovers, it is recommended to go for their lunch/dinner buffet. You will get to eat crabs, lobsters etc. For me, I ate alot too, suddenly the diameter of my tummy increased a couple of inches! Though I ate so much, it was confirm not enough to cover what Yang paid for: one pax $33 after UOB/DBS discount card. I have told him that I don't want to claim such an expensive buffet, but he insisted. Luckily we went for High Tea Buffet not lunch. But I felt guilty still. Thank you Yang!
After the feast, we took a train to Bugis and walked along the street. I bought one school bag and one pair of shoes. Both at a damn cheap price - $10 each! Cheaper than what I bought in Hong Kong! Girls, next time shopping can just go to Bugis Street, no need to travel overseas. LOLX. After walking for a while, I craved for koi and went to illuma to get it. Then we sat on the wooden floor, chatted and took some not-so-nice photos using my ipad. A splendid night spent with two of them (:
