Hui's Wedding. 16 December 2011
12/17/2011 10:39:00 PM

Finally, it was my sister's wedding yesterday. I woke up at 6am sharp then quickly went to bathe and changed into the bride’s maid’s pink dress. Did a light makeup on my face then proceed to help the other sisters with the preparations for the game. For about an hour plus, we were all posting for the videoman and cameraman to take photos/videos. I think we can all be actresses after the wedding. The Singapore SNSD (this is what the brothers called us) :p

DIY corsage for all the sisters (:

At around 8.30am, cars’ horns can be heard, that’s when the 10 brothers and bro-in-law reached my block. The ten brothers dressed in purple while the groom in silvery grey suit. Looking down from the kitchen window, I felt so nervous, as if it was my own wedding. All the six sisters then divided into two groups, 3 colours each. Cuixia and I wore pink, she preferred to stay inside, so I was outside. Aina and Shihmin both white, Aina was outside. Ferlyn and Mandy yellow, Mandy was outside.

Car plate no for people who may need (like mummy) :p

Then together with Mandy and Aina, we three were supposed to spy on the brothers, make sure they don’t play cheat. The game started after Shihmin’s open speech. However, the whole game lasted about 45 mins only because the guys were late so we have to rush through some games. But in the end managed to asked for 3 ang baos, total about $700, each of the six sisters got $120. Feel sorry for bro-in-law and sis. HAHAHA.

After kissing goodbye from my parents, the newlyweds left for the groom’s house at Bedok. There, they spent another 2 hours or so to ‘jing cha’ to the big group of relatives. Then jie changed and we drove to Pungol waterfront for some shoots before heading to my house for another round of tea ceremony. Luckily our side has very few relatives, so the process was much faster.

Just when everything has done, one of us realised that my room was locked! All the sisters left their bags in the room. Our keys were in the bags that were left inside too! Then everyone helped to search for spare keys but to no avail. Jie then called the professional to come to open the door for us. We waited till around 3pm while other sisters left home first. The mechanist took a speeding 4 seconds to open and it costs $40! Perhaps I can consider this job! LOLX. I bathed and went for make up at NICE. It was quite a professional one. $25 for make up, $25 for hairdo. They came to fetch me from Northpoint and off we went to Furama Hotel at around 4.30pm. Reached there at around 5pm, resting in the hotel rooms watching sister and mum doing their make ups. Then the solemnisation started at around 6plus. Nicki and I went to rehearse emceeing after that to ensure everything was alright. Franking speaking I was not nervous at all, though I have no such experience before. Hong and yang’s goodluck SMSes made me more confident, seriously.
(*very sad as I was too busy to take photos, passed my camera to dardra, but he took none :( SAD AND ANGRY!)

As usual, a Chinese wedding dinner never starts before 8pm, ours 8.30pm. The whole process was smooth, emceeing was a fun experience. I am quite satisfied with our performance given that we only confirmed the script and rehearsed once a day before the wedding. Glad to hear so many positive comments after the event. Many of my relatives kept praising us siblings, saying how pretty and handsome we were. I know I am glam, thank you very much! HAHHAHAHA :p

Some of the brothers stayed in one of the hotel rooms after that, but not we sisters. Together with boyfriend and some friends, we went to Marina Bay Sands for a stroll after the dinner and got home at 1am. I dozed off while waiting for my turn to bathe. Dardar left to find his friends and said will be back soon. He left all his stuffs in my house, and he had no keys to go home. However I didn’t sense the phone vibrations from his calls. In the end, when I woke up it was already 2.45am, he came, bathed and slept without mentioning anything. This morning, while having lunch, I asked why he was so late yesterday, only then he said he waited for me for an hour to pick up his calls! He told me that he was cold and urgent for toilet, but didn’t want to wake my family up by pressing the door bell. So he waited at the playground under the block. I checked my phone; really shock to see that there were 56 missed calls from him! I felt so bad and xinteng him fighting against bladder, against cold, against sleeping monster. Such a silly boy!

I am really very very tired, cannot walk anymore. Then somemore volunteered to carry me: only 5mins :(

In the end I just took off my heels and walk along the street!

After yesterday, I really think that getting married can be extremely tiring!

Congras Yahui and Pangyong, may you enjoy everlasting marital bliss.
